The vibrating knife phenomenon occurs because the tool produces a component in the radial direction,and the entire tooling system is a tool body.Therefore,when the force is applied,the blade body will be deformed,and the deviation will be produced in the direction of the force.The displacement will occur,the machining depth will become smaller,and the force will become smaller.When the displacement becomes smaller,the cutter body moves in the opposite direction of the force,so that the depth of cut becomes larger,the force is also larger,and the cutter body moves in the direction of the force.Such repeated movements will create vibration.It can be solved in two ways:
1,the strength of the tool itself
The thicker the strength of the body itself,the stronger the strength.Therefore,if you want to solve the vibration problem by changing the tool strength,you can try to shorten the tool length and strengthen the width,which can solve the vibration knife.
2,the cutting force of the tool
The smaller the cutting force,the smaller the vibration.If you want to solve the vibration problem from the cutting force,you can use a larger rake angle,a smaller cutting edge width,less feed,etc.,can reduce the cutting force.
When we machine parts,the parts appear to be vibrated.The first thing that comes to mind is to adjust the cutting parameters,such as reducing the cutting line speed.
